Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Ministry of Rali Wali, has announced that the 79th Nagaland Independence Day will be celebrated on August 14, 2025, at Thenyizumi Village under Chakheshang Region. In a statement, Capt. (Retd.) Yirei Lungleng, Rali Wali Kilonser, expressed gratitude to Thenyizumi Village for its patriotic initiative to host the historic event. Regional Midan Peyus under the Federal Government have been directed to observe the occasion in their respective regions and sub-regions.
