ANTA dismisses claim of shifting taxi parking zones

Staff ReporterDIMAPUR, JUL 30 (NPN)

All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has dismissed the claim doing the rounds on social media that all taxi parking zones in Dimapur would be shifted to the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) from August 11 and that each district unit of ANTA would be allotted a counter at ISBT Dimapur under the new arrangement.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, ANTA president, Dziesevituo Solo, categorically dismissed the viral message and dubbed it as “unauthorised and unverified”. Solo informed that any official statement would be made through the ANTA official writing pad.
He admitted that discussions were made in the last general executives meeting in Longleng, but the move was kept in abeyance as it needed approval the administration.
Expressing concern over misinformation being spread on public platforms, Solo urge the members of the public and taxi community to rely only on official communications issued by ANTA.
It may be mentioned that authorities from Regional Transport Office were yet to issue any clarification or statement on the matter.
