Unidentified body found at Rail Bazaar, Dimapur

A suspected case of death due to starvation was reported on July 29 at Rail Bazaar, Dimapur, where police discovered the body of a non-local male believed to be homeless.
According to Dimapur Sub-Urban Police Station, on receiving information, police duty personnel rushed to the location and found a male, aged between 35–40 years, wearing black half pants.
An inquest was conducted, and no signs of foul play were found. Witnesses stated that the man, identified as Marujal, son of Amel Haque, was a homeless individual suspected to have died due to starvation. After completing legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital morgue for post-mortem and further identification. Authorities have requested any relatives or acquaintances of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-charge of Sub-Urban Police Station, Dimapur, at 7085055026.
