Farewell ceremony held for outgoing IG prisons

A farewell ceremony was organized on July 30, at the Directorate of Prisons, Kohima, in honor of outgoing Inspector General of Prisons (IGP), Imtiangshi Ao, who retired after an illustrious 35 years of service to the government.
In a press release, DGP Kohima, Rechamo P. Kikon, congratulated Imtiangshi Ao on his retirement, acknowledging his years of sincere service and the invaluable contributions he made to the prison system in Nagaland. Kikon commended Ao for his principled decision-making, humble leadership, and unwavering dedication to improving the conditions within the state’s correctional facilities. During the farewell program, Imtiangshi Ao addressed the gathering, encouraging his subordinate officers to continue working with dedication and to strive towards further uplifting the prison conditions in Nagaland.
