School of Agricultural Sciences, Nagaland University (SAS, NU), Medziphema Campus, conducted a one-day skill development workshop titled “Entrepreneurship in Action” on August 2. The session was held under the ICAR-Tribal Sub Plan (ICAR-TSP) initiative and facilitated by Damaso Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
According to a press release, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of NU Medziphema Campus, Prof. Dipak Sinha, and Dean of SAS, Prof. L. Daiho, delivered the inaugural remarks, encouraging students to make the most of such transformative platforms. They emphasized that today’s students have access to professional development opportunities that were unavailable to previous generations.
Facilitator Piyush Chandra introduced the framework and learning objectives of the workshop, which included hands-on sessions, interactive discussions, and simulation-based learning. Activities were designed to foster critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving in real-world scenarios.
Participants engaged in sessions focused on developing entrepreneurial mindset, emotional intelligence, strategic networking, and personal branding.
Leadership simulations and collaborative exercises challenged students to make decisions under pressure, enhancing their adaptability and confidence.
Associate Professor and Principal Investigator of the project, Dr. Mary N. Odyuo, presented an overview of the project’s progress and future vision on behalf of the ICAR-TSP SAS, NU team.
