SJU hosts faculty development prog

DIMAPUR

St. Joseph University (SJU), Chumoukedima, Nagaland, commenced a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for the School of Social Sciences and Management on August 4.
With the theme “Academic Administration and Management,” the programme aims to enhance the academic credentials and administrative capabilities of university faculty. Eminent resource persons from reputed institutions have been invited to lead sessions during the event.
On the inaugural day, Professor Amalesh Bhowal from the Department of Commerce, Assam University, Diphu Campus, delivered a lecture on the “Necessity of Research for Academic Excellence and Professional Advancement” among university educators. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round. Altogether, 82 faculty members attended the programme, held at the University Seminar Hall. The FDP will conclude on August 8.
