Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung, and Sherubtse College, Bhutan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 5 at Sherubtse College, Kanglung, Bhutan, to promote international academic collaboration.
According to a release from FAC’s Information and Publicity Cell, the agreement aims to foster joint academic initiatives, faculty and student exchange programmes, and shared research development.
FAC principal Dr. I. Wati Imchen expressed optimism that the partnership would provide new opportunities for learning and broaden academic horizons. Sherubtse College vice-chancellor Chewang Rinzin echoed similar sentiments, affirming that the cooperation would be grounded in mutual respect and academic excellence.
The five-year MoU, subject to automatic renewal, identifies Fazl Ali College’s Research & Development Cell and Sherubtse College’s Office of the Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages as the nodal offices for implementation.
The initiative represents a step forward in strengthening educational ties between India and Bhutan, with a focus on academic growth and cultural exchange.
