Gov, CM, DyCM extend Metümnyo greetings

Nagaland governor La Ganesan, chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and deputy CM Y Patton have extended greetings and best wishes to the members of the Yimkhiung community on the occasion of Metümnyo festival,.
In his message, Ganesan said Metümnyo festival, celebrated with gratitude and reverence, reflected the rich cultural heritage of Yimkhiung tribe, honouring the departed souls and seeking blessings for peace, harmony, and prosperity. He also said it was a time for fostering unity, reconciliation, and strengthening bonds and hoped that the occasion bring happiness, good health to all.
In a social media post, chief minister also extended warm greetings to the Yimkhiung community. “As we celebrate this vibrant harvest festival, may it be a time to honour our rich cultural heritage, strengthen family bonds, and foster peace and harmony,” Rio said.
Dy. CM: In his greetings, deputy chief minister Y. Patton said that every festival is auspicious as it brings people closer to their traditions. On behalf of the State BJP legislators, Patton wished that the festival be celebrated in unity and brotherhood.
