National People’s Party (NPP), Nagaland State Unit, convened an emergency meeting on August 6 at the State Party Office in Dimapur under the leadership of State president A. Nyamnyei Konyak.
The meeting was attended by state officials and representatives from the Youth and Minority Wings, and focused on strengthening organizational structure, enhancing communication, and reinforcing party discipline across the state. Key resolutions adopted during the meeting include the formation of a State Media Cell to manage official communications and improve public outreach. An Ad Hoc Disciplinary Committee was also constituted to uphold party ethics and address internal matters. Members include Rokosalie (Convenor), Nukshi Jamir (member secretary), Ranjit Singhvi (member), and A. Nyamnyei Konyak as ex-officio member. To boost women’s participation, State vice-president, Rosy Yanthan, was appointed co-incharge of the State Women Front. The meeting further emphasized inclusive representation in all frontal units, directing the Dimapur District Unit to ensure fair tribal and community inclusion.
The party reaffirmed strict adherence to internal protocols, stating that no member should approach the National president or central leaders without prior approval from the State president.
All district units and frontal organizations were also instructed to refrain from issuing policy-related press statements without consultation with the state leadership. District Units were directed to submit updated District Executive Committee lists to the State Office by August 30, 2025.
