GST outreach programme in Mokokchung

A GST outreach programme was held at Whispering Winds Hotel, Mokokchung, on August 8, organised by the Central GST Commissionerate with participation from officials of the State Taxes Department.
Mokokchung district ranks next after Dimapur, Kohima and Chümoukedima in terms of the number of GST taxpayers. The programme aimed to extend practical support and encourage voluntary compliance among taxpayers.
The event was chaired by CGST assistant commissioner Jayavelu and witnessed active participation from local taxpayers, traders, tax consultants and business owners. Officials from CGST Mokokchung Range including Superintendent Limanochet and Superintendent V. Khawbung also attended the programme.
During the interaction session, members of the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) led by president Tsukti Jamir, along with major taxpayers and consultants, engaged with tax officials on various issues related to GST compliance and procedures.
