Chief secretary Sentiyanger Imchen, chaired a high-level meeting with line departments on August 13 at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, to assess the preparedness for the upcoming Hornbill Festival 2025.
According to DIPR report, the meeting was convened to initiate early planning and streamline coordination among departments.
The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of forming subcommittees for effective execution and directed all departments to come prepared with concrete action plans and proposals for the next review meeting scheduled on August 25.
Key issues discussed included road infrastructure, sanitation, transportation, electricity, and logistics. Departments presented updates on their respective work progress and outlined preliminary strategies to ensure a smooth and successful festival.
The Hornbill Festival, a flagship cultural event of Nagaland, is expected to draw significant domestic and international attention, and the administration reiterated its commitment to delivering a well-coordinated and vibrant celebration.
