Nagaland celebrates 79th Indian Independence Day with patriotic fervour

The 79th Indian Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic zeal and grandeur across various districts of Nagaland on Thursday, with official ceremonies, cultural performances, and recognition of meritorious service and achievements. Government officials, civil society members, students, and uniformed personnel participated in large numbers to mark the occasion.


KIPHIRE: Kiphire district celebrated Independence Day at the Public Ground with Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, delivered the speech, and received the Rashtriya salute from eleven contingents led by Assistant Commandant Konathung Ezung and the 41 Assam Rifles Pipe Band. District Awards were presented to individuals and organisations for their contributions. Cultural highlights included performances by Liopila H, Squad Crew, Tikhir Students’ Union, and Seyochung Village Union. A fire safety demonstration was conducted by the Department of Fire & Emergency Services.
Exhibition stalls were inaugurated by the Special Guest, featuring departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Legal Services, Rural Development, and Women Empowerment initiatives. Football matches were played between various local teams, and the event concluded with the Beating of Retreat by 41 Assam Rifles.


CHUMOUKEDIMA: Minister Environment, Forest and Climate Change CL John hoisted the National Flag and graced the 79th Independence Day celebration at Sammogooting Stadium, DC office complex, Chümoukedima. In his speech, he informed that the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change was implementing two externally aided projects—the Forest Management Project funded by JICA and the Forest and Biodiversity Management Project supported by KfW Development Bank under Indo-German financial cooperation. The JICA project, he said, had so far covered 152 villages. The minister inspected the parade and later inaugurated the exhibition stalls. Highlights of the celebration included a women’s folk dance by the Sumi cultural troupe from Chekiye, a folk dance by the Kachari cultural troupe from Dhansiripar, a patriotic recital by Easter T. Ngullie, a patriotic dance by DMI St. Joseph Global School, Ikishe, and a special presentation by the 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion.


MOKOKCHUNG: At Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech. The parade was led by SDPO (Hq) Tizhisie Pojar, with contingents from DEF Mokokchung, NAP Battalions, Home Guards, NCC units, Bharat Scouts & Guides, and the 2nd NAP Pipe Band. Nine individuals were honoured with District Awards for their commendable public service. Cultural presentations by Eastern Nagaland Peoples Union, Konyak Union, and Laxmi Narayan Gritan Mandal showcased the region’s diversity. The programme also featured a band display by the 12 Assam Rifles, a tug-of-war match, and exhibition football and penalty shootout events.


ZUNHEBOTO: The celebration at Zunheboto local ground was led by Advisor for Minority Affairs & Sericulture, Imkongmar, who hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering. District Awards for Meritorious Service were presented to distinguished individuals from various departments including Police, Health, Education, and NGOs. The parade featured contingents from DEF Zunheboto, 8th NAP Battalion, and Ex-Servicemen, led by Assistant Commandant Imlisunup Ao. The event was attended by Heads of Offices and staff, reflecting strong community participation.


TUENSANG: Tuensang district joined the nationwide celebration of the 79th Independence Day at the Parade Ground, with Advisor for Information & Public Relations, Soil and Water Conservation, Imkong L. Imchen, as chief guest. After reviewing the parade, he hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech, taking the Rashtriya salute from 14 parade contingents led by Asst. Commandant I. Bunglang Chang of the 3rd NAP Tuensang. Cultural highlights included performances by Mutton Hau Tuensang Village, GHSS Tuensang, Chang-un Cultural Club, Sangli Cultural Troupe, Khiamniungan Culture Club, Memifu Club, and Tikhir Liujong Pailiu Dancing Troupe. Exhibition stalls were inaugurated by the Chief Guest, featuring departments such as Agriculture, Forest, Land Resources, and Rural Development. The initiative aims to promote sustainable agriculture through eco-friendly biofertilizers and biopesticides. The evening session featured exhibition football matches between Government Departments (Ladies) and BYFTT, and between Government Departments and Tuensang Town Baptist Pastor Union at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground.


LONGLENG: In Longleng, the celebration was held at the Public Ground with Advisor for Treasuries and Accounts, Art and Cultural, Konngam Konyak, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade, and took the Rashtriya Salute from nine contingents led by District Commandant Chibeni Ezung. District Awards were presented to officials across various departments for their meritorious service. Cultural highlights included patriotic songs by JNV students, Taekwondo demonstrations, and folk dances by Pongching Cultural Troupe. Tug-of-war matches added a festive spirit to the day. The special guest also visited exhibition stalls and institutions such as the Eastern Blind Home, Rehabilitation Centre, District Jail, and Old Age Home, accompanied by representatives from SBI, Cooperative Bank, and Forest Department.


NIULAND: Niuland district celebrated Independence Day at the public ground with Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya salute from four contingents led by Asst. Commandant Haiding SAP. The celebration featured cultural presentations from Old Showba Village and the inauguration of exhibition stalls by various departments. In the evening, a football exhibition match was played between Administration & Police and Heads of Offices (HoOs) of Niuland.


MELURI: Meluri district marked the occasion at the local ground with Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya salute from eight parade contingents, including NCC units and local schools. Exhibition stalls by government departments and SHGs were inaugurated, and cultural performances included drill displays, folk dances and musical presentations by Project 5.PM and local women’s cultural troupes.


SHAMATOR: Shamator district celebrated Independence Day with Advisor for Youth Resource and Sports, S. Keoshu Yimchunger, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, inspected parade contingents, and delivered the Independence Day speech. District Commendation Awards and Progressive Farmers’ Awards were presented, and four unemployed youths received trucks to promote alternative employment. Cultural presentations and special performances added vibrancy to the event, which concluded with a football match and Beating of Retreat.


NOKLAK: At Noklak Parade Ground, Minister for Housing & Mechanical Engineering, P. Bashangmongba Chang, led the celebration by hoisting the National Flag and taking the Rashtriya salute from nine parade contingents. Highlights included musical performances, inauguration of Aakhansha Haat and exhibition stalls, and the flagging off of 10 local taxis and 5 two-wheeler taxis under the Chief Minister Micro Finance Insurance scheme. The Red Cross Society visited District Hospital Noklak to distribute essential supplies. The event concluded with a retreat by the Frontier Piper Band.


WOKHA: Wokha district celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor at the Public Ground, Wokha, where Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, served as the special guest. She hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya salute, and addressed the gathering. The ceremonial march past featured four contingents: DEF Wokha, 7th NAP, Home Guard and Civil Defence, and Ex-Servicemen. District Awards and Commendation Certificates were presented to individuals for their outstanding contributions. Exhibition stalls were inaugurated by the Minister, showcasing services and products from departments such as Medical, Agriculture, Horticulture, Skill Development, Animal Husbandry, ICAR-KVK, and Legal Services. The stalls reflected the district’s commitment to inclusive development and public awareness. District Awards and District Commendation Certificates were presented were formally handed over by the Minister in recognition of the recipients’ dedication and public service.


PHEK: At Phek Local Ground, Minister for Public Health Engineering & Cooperation, N. Jacob Zhimomi, led the Independence Day celebration. He hoisted the National Flag, delivered the official speech, and took the Rashtriya salute from nineteen parade contingents led by SDPO Khuzah Jurry and Havildar Zhosevo Vero. Seventeen exhibition stalls were inaugurated and inspected by the chief guest. Cultural highlights included folk dances by Khuza Cultural Troupe and performances by Music Ensemble Phek and Assam Rifles Public School.


MON: Mon district marked the occasion at Mon Local Ground with MLA & Advisor for Water Resources, Tongpang Ozukum, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, inspected parade contingents, and delivered the Independence Day message. Sixteen contingents participated in the march past, led by Parade Commander K. Hekato Sumi of 6th NAP Battalion, Tizit. Cultural performances included songs by Guhching Village Cultural Troupe and Chen Union Mon Town, and special numbers by The Owako’s Singers. Exhibition matches and tug-of-war contests were held between DPDB, CSOs and Mon Town wards. Government departments and agencies conducted outreach visits to hospitals, orphanages, old age homes, and de-addiction centres. National flags were hoisted across all government offices and educational institutions.


PEREN: Peren district celebrated Independence Day at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex with Deputy Speaker S. Toiho Yeptho as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade, and delivered the Independence Day speech. The parade featured contingents from DEF Peren, 9 NAP (IR) Saijang, Sainik School Punglwa, and several educational institutions. District Commendation Awards were conferred to Ibotui, Hamia, and Bony Zeliang for their exemplary service. ATMA Best Farmer and SHG Awards were presented to individuals and groups for achievements in agriculture and organic farming. Cultural presentations included performances by Kezanglwa Village Youth Organisation, Rooted Liangmai, and DAPO Peren. A Pipe Band display by 9 Assam Rifles added ceremonial grandeur. Outreach visits were made to the Sub Jail, District Hospital, and Children’s Home by various departments and organisations.


TSEMINYU: Tseminyu district marked the 79th Independence Day with a ceremonial gathering at the District Headquarters, where Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, served as the special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya salute, and inspected parade contingents from the 4th NAP Tseminyu and Ex-servicemen. In his address, Rio emphasized the importance of unity and development, and administered the Nasha Mukt Bharat pledge for a drug-free Nagaland. District Commendation Awards were presented to Dr. Cheyali Kath, MO Chunlika, and Jonah Semp, Sub-Treasury Officer, for their exemplary service. Cultural highlights included a special number by Chentile Magh of the Agriculture Department and a folk song by the Dobashis. A tug-of-war match between DBs and DPDB members added a spirited touch to the celebration. Exhibition stalls by various departments showcased local initiatives and services.


PUGHOBOTO: Pughoboto Sub-Division in Zunheboto district celebrated Independence Day with MLA Dr. Sukhato A. Sema as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya salute, and addressed the gathering, highlighting the values of freedom and progress. The march past was led by Kakito ABI of the 8th NAP A. Coy. Certificates of Recognition were awarded to the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Office, Government Higher Secondary School Pughoboto, and Vishepu Swu, Village Council Chairman of Ghokimi village. A Public Waiting Shed at the New Administrative Complex was inaugurated under LADP 2025–26. The evening session featured a football exhibition match between ADC XI and MLA XI, followed by prize distribution and the Beating of Retreat. The event reflected strong community participation and patriotic spirit.


CHIEPHOBOZOU: Chiephobozou in Kohima district celebrated the 79th Independence Day with Advisor for Prisons, Printing and Stationery, Er. Kropol Vitsu, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech at the local ground. The parade was led by contingents from the 10th IRB Zhadima, with ABI Thupusahu Yoho as Parade Commander. A cultural performance was presented by Gilead School, Touphema. Exhibition stalls by various departments were also part of the celebration.


LONGKHIM: Longkhim celebrated the 79th Independence Day at the Public Ground with Advisor for Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics, and Evaluation, H. Sethrongkyu Sangtam, as Chief Guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya Salute from nine parade contingents led by Haveldar Major Sangsomong, and delivered the Independence Day speech. Cash prizes were awarded to the best parade contingents: GHSS NCC (1st), Baptist High School (Boys) (2nd), and Christ King High School (3rd). Exhibition stalls by the Agriculture Department and NSRLM showcased local initiatives. Cultural highlights included folk dances by Sangvi Cultural Women Society and Throngcheh Mülong, Phir Ahi Village. The programme was compered by H. Yolongchem Sangtam and Narola Longkumer of GHSS Longkhim.


ATOIZU: Atoizu Sub-Division in Zunheboto district celebrated Independence Day at the Public Ground with MLA and Advisor for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Kazheto Kinimi, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya Salute from Platoon Commander Dziesebeituo Rutsa of the 8th NAP, and delivered the Independence Day speech.


TIZIT: Tizit celebrated Independence Day at the local ground with Advisor for School Education & SCERT, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech in Nagamese for wider public understanding. Twelve contingents participated in the march past led by ABSI R. Zubenthung Lotha and Hav. Nokto Wangsa. Cultural performances included patriotic dances by St. Francis and Holy Trinity Schools, and bamboo dance by David School. Sweet distribution was facilitated by the Social Welfare Department. The National Flag was hoisted across all government and private institutions.


SANIS: Sanis Town in Wokha district celebrated Independence Day at GHS Ground with Advisor for New & Renewable Energy & NSDMA, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya Salute, and delivered the Independence Day speech.


PUNGRO: Pungro ADC Headquarters celebrated the 79th Independence Day at the public ground with MLA and Advisor for Home Guard & Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services, Relief & Rehabilitation, S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, delivered the Independence Day speech, and took the Rashtriya salute from the 8th NAP Bn. ‘C’ Coy Pungro. The celebration concluded with the ceremonial Beating of Retreat in the evening.


AGHUNATO: Aghunato HQ in Zunheboto District celebrated Independence Day at the Public Ground with Advisor for Labour & Employment, Skill Development and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech. The 8 NAP “C” Coy contingent participated in the parade led by ABSI Yanpothung Odyuo and Hav. Mughato. Exhibition stalls by various departments were inaugurated by the chief guest.


BHANDARI: Bhandari in Wokha District celebrated Independence Day with MLA and Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu, as chief guest. She hoisted the National Flag, delivered the speech, and received the Rashtriya Salute from the 7th NAP Bn Bhandari contingent led by ABI Tiatemjen Ao. A special song was presented by APRO Bhandari, Lily Ngullie. Exhibition stalls by the Departments of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, and SDIC Bhandari were inaugurated by the chief guest.

CHANGTONGYA: Changtongya Sub-Division in Mokokchung district celebrated Independence Day with SDO (Civil) Nukshimatong as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, received the Salute from OC Police Station Changtongya, and delivered the Independence Day speech. The National Anthem was sung by students of St. John School.


JAKHAMA: At Jakhama, the celebration was held at the SDO (Civil)’s Office premises with Sub-Divisional Officer Vineikho Tetso as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya salute from the 12th IR contingent led by UBI Joseph Zeliang. The National Anthem was sung by students of Government High School, Jakhama. The event was chaired by Dr. Menguzenuo Chielie and attended by officials, Dobashis, and students.


SEYOCHUNG: Seyochung Headquarters in Kiphire district celebrated Independence Day at the public ground with ADC James T. Khulu Tikhir as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, delivered the speech, and took the Rashtriya salute from three parade contingents led by Nikihe Chishe and Hav. Major Shetoho Yeptho. Cultural presentations included “AhouAhou” by Sulila, choreographed patriotic songs by Litongla, and a drill display by St. Mary’s High School. The Sumi Women Community also performed. Exhibition stalls were inaugurated, featuring the Department of Agriculture, Medical Team, and ten NGOs. The event saw participation from officials, public leaders, and community representatives.

CHEN: Chen Town in Mon district celebrated Independence Day at the SDO (Civil) Office Compound with Head DB K. Yaoh Konyak hoisting the National Flag. The event was attended by Village Guard personnel and local residents.


MONYAKSHU: Monyakshu Sub-Division in Mon district celebrated Independence Day at the SDO (Civil) Office with SDO C. Wangan as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya salute from Village Guards. The event was attended by government employees, police, DBs, GBs, and the public, and concluded with a community feast hosted by the SDO.
From district headquarters to sub-divisional towns, Nagaland’s 79th Independence Day celebrations reflected a deep sense of unity, cultural pride, and civic responsibility. With vibrant parades, cultural showcases, commendation awards, and community outreach, the state reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development and the enduring values of freedom and service.


MANGKOLEMBA: Mangkolemba Subdivision in Mokokchung district marked the occasion with MLA and SDPDB Chairman Tobu, Naiba Konyak, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya Salute, and addressed the gathering. The National Anthem was sung by students of Baptist Higher Secondary School.
Six parade contingents participated in the march past, led by 2nd NAP ‘E’ Coy, Tzutapela, including students from GHSS, BHSS, Saint Andrew’s School, and New Model College. Exhibition stalls by various government departments were inaugurated, followed by an exhibition football match and inter-ward tug-of-war competition.


ABOI: Aboi Sub-Division in Mon District celebrated Independence Day at the local ground with Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, received the Rashtriya salute from ten parade contingents, and delivered the Independence Day speech.
Highlights included patriotic dance by Longshang Memorial School, cultural presentations by KU & KNSK Aboi Unit, and choreography by El Shaddai School. Exhibition stalls were inaugurated and inspected by the chief guest.


TAMLU: Tamlu Sub-Division in Longleng district observed Independence Day at the Local Ground with MLA and Advisor for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, A. Pangjung Jamir, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, inspected parade contingents, and delivered the Independence Day speech.
Eight contingents participated, including Village Guards and local schools. Cultural dances by Chingji and Thaudu Ward and special presentations by Christian and St. Thomas Schools added vibrancy. The day featured an inter-ward penalty shootout and concluded with the Beating of Retreat by ‘E’ Coy, 6th NAP, Tamlu.


AKULUTO: Akuluto Sub-Division in Zunheboto district celebrated Independence Day with EAC HQ Yapangmenla hoisting the National Flag and taking the Rashtriya Salute from the 8th NAP F Coy Akuluto, in the presence of all Heads of Offices under the Sub-Division.
NOKSEN: Noksen HQ in Tuensang District celebrated Independence Day with SDO (C) C. Puniang as Special Guest. The saluting party was reviewed by OC PS Noksen, and students of GHS Noksen Town presented a special cultural performance.


TULI: Tuli Sub-Division in Mokokchung District celebrated Independence Day at the Local Ground with MLA A. Pongshi Phom as chief guest. The event featured flag hoisting and patriotic observances.


TOBU: Tobu Sub-Division in Mon district celebrated Independence Day with MLA Imtichoba as chief guest. The town was adorned with the National Flag across government offices, institutions, and homes.
The chief guest hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya salute from contingents including 6th NAP, Village Guards, and local schools. Exhibition stalls showcased handicrafts, agricultural products, and traditional items. A patriotic drill by Zealous Club and a football match between ADC XI and Sey-Ong Club were highlights of the day. The National Anthem was led by Beijing High School, Tobu.


CHOZUBA: Chozuba Town in Phek district celebrated the 79th Independence Day at the Local Ground with MLA and former Minister Kuzholuzo Neinu as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, delivered the Independence Day speech, and took the Rashtriya salute after inspecting the parade contingents.
The parade featured Eastern Christian High School, GHS Yoruba, NCC units from GHSS Chozuba and GHS Japan Riba, GHSS Chozuba, and BSF 111 Bn, led by Parade Commander Posao Vero, ABSI, 5th NAP Chozuba. Cultural highlights included a folk song by Yorubami Youth Association and a special performance by Transcend Voice.
Exhibition stalls were set up by DIC, SDAO, NKVIB, GHSS Chozuba, and the Weaving & Handloom Society Training Centre. A state lunch was served at GA Rest House. The celebration saw participation from government officials, students, frontier organisations, and neighbouring villages. National flags were hoisted across government offices and institutions.


THONOKNYU: Thonoknyu in Noklak district celebrated Independence Day with SDO (C) Tsiatsusie as Special Guest. He hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya Salute during the official programme.


PFUTSERO: Pfutsero HQ in Phek district hosted its Independence Day celebration at the Pfutsero Sports Complex with MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya Salute, and delivered the Independence Day message.
Seven contingents participated in the March Past led by Parade Commander ABI Achuyi Tetseo of 5th NAP Phek. Cultural performances included a patriotic song by JNV Lewoza and a folk song by Shuduzo Chiragh and friends. Exhibition stalls by government departments and SHGs were inaugurated, and the event concluded with the Beating of Retreat.


TENING: Tening HQ in Peren district celebrated Independence Day at the Local Ground with MLA Namri Nchang as chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade, and delivered the Independence Day speech.
Seven contingents participated in the parade led by ABSI Amiheing and Hav. Namsuanghung Nchang of DEF Peren. Cultural highlights included the National Anthem by Baptist High School, a display by Tening Town Heraka Council, and a badminton exhibition match by Tening Badminton Club.
A signature campaign commemorating the 5th anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was organised by the Social Welfare Department (ICDS Project). Exhibition stalls showcased departmental and SHG achievements. The event concluded with the Beating of Retreat.


NAGINIMORA: Naganimora in Mon district observed Independence Day at the Public Ground with Advisor for Geology & Mining and DUDA, W. Chingang Konyak, as Chief Guest. He hoisted the National Flag, received the Rashtriya salute from seven contingents, and delivered the Independence Day speech.
WAKCHING: Wakching Sub-Division in Mon district observed Independence Day with SDO (Civil) S. Longnyei hoisting the National Flag and taking the salute from Nagaland Police. Drill displays by St. John School and special numbers by Government High School added to the celebration. The event was attended by GBs, DBs, government employees, and residents.


MEDZIPHEMA: Medziphema celebrated Independence Day with Advisor for Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan, as special guest. He hoisted the National Flag, took the Rashtriya salute, and delivered the Independence Day speech.
State-Level celebration in Kohima: The culmination of Nagaland’s 79th Independence Day celebrations was held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima, on 15th August, with a grand state-level programme that featured ceremonial honours, cultural showcases, and official inaugurations.
Presentation of Awards: During the formal proceedings, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bendangwati Ao, was conferred the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Police Medals for Meritorious Service were also awarded to Commissioner of Police, Kevithuto Sophie, and Commandant Aboli Metha. The Governor’s Gold Medal was presented to Naik Takonungba of the 2nd NAP Battalion, athletic coach Khriezotuonuo Theunuo, and the musical group Hito Kito of ‘The Nagaland Madrigal Singers’ for their outstanding contributions.
Entertainment and Cultural Presentations: The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances coordinated by the Department of Art & Culture. Folk dances and songs were presented by cultural troupes representing the Khiamniungan, Konyak, Pochury, Sangtam, and Zeliang tribes. Imna Yaden of 1st NAP performed patriotic songs “Vande Mataram” and “We Love Nagaland.”
The Nagaland Police NAP Rangers conducted a hostage recovery demonstration simulating a bus intervention scenario. Musical performances by the 13 Assam Rifles Pipe Band added ceremonial grandeur. The Nagaland Motorcycle Club distributed sweets to commemorate the occasion.
Evening Programme and Conclusion: The evening session was graced by Home Commissioner Anoop Khinchi as special guest. It began with an exhibition football match between DGP XI and Morning Premier League Team, with the latter winning on penalties.
The programme concluded with a ceremonial Band Display and Beating of Retreat by the 13 Assam Rifles Pipe Band, NPTS Brass Band, Nagaland Police 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Pipe Band, and Nagaland Police Auxiliary Brass Band.
