NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) commemorated the 79th Naga Independence Day at the CFSB premises with a solemn programme marked by patriotic spirit and political reflection.
Kilo Kilonser Viniho Kiho hoisted the Naga National Flag as chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the need for unity among Naga Political Groups, stating that despite differences, all groups uphold one constitution and salute one flag. He urged collective understanding and cooperation to facilitate an early and inclusive political solution, noting that the Government of India would offer only one resolution.
Ato Kilonser Hokato Vusshe spoke on the prevailing Naga political scenario, stating that the time had come for all Naga groups, civil society organizations, and citizens to unite under one banner to resolve the long-standing issue. He stressed that unity among NPGs was essential to bring the dialogue to its logical conclusion.
“The leaders must set aside personal differences and ideological divides to find common ground and engage in meaningful dialogue, keeping the aspirations of the Naga people above all else,” he stated.
Vusshe further called on the Government of India to approach the Naga issue with sincerity, cautioning against false promises and divisive tactics. He warned that failure to recognize such intentions could leave the Naga struggle stagnant and vulnerable.
On the occasion, NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) also appealed to the Government of Nagaland to remain steadfast and not mislead the people, reaffirming its commitment to the Naga cause.
