TSUD leads civic clean-up with DMC

Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) launched an intensive cleanliness drive on August 16, reaffirming its commitment to civic responsibility and environmental stewardship. The drive commenced at 5:30 am, covering the stretch from City Tower to Metro Hospital, was carried out in collaboration with the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).
According to TSUD president, Sotilo Seb and general secretary, Chiehepe Kapfo, over 60 members representing TSUD’s nine affiliated tribal units actively participated in the initiative, each assigned specific responsibilities to ensure systematic execution.
TSUD expressed deep appreciation to DMC for its support and collaborative engagement, which significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the drive.
The initiative aimed to foster civic cleanliness, promote public hygiene, and inspire community-wide participation in urban upkeep.
Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur stated that the drive was not merely about cleaning roads but about cultivating a culture of responsibility, pride, and unity among citizens.
The Union further appealed to the public to uphold cleanliness as a shared value and continue supporting such efforts for a better Dimapur.
