Graduation day celebration held at MITE

DIMAPUR

Model Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima held its 13th graduation day ceremony at the MITE Auditorium, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduating class. The event was graced by Advisor, School Education & SCERT, Dr. Kekhriehloulie Yhome, as the special guest.
According to a press release, Dr. Yhome congratulated the graduates and praised teaching as a noble profession. He lauded the faculty’s efforts and the institution’s evolution from a B.Ed. college to a multi-disciplinary institution. He underscored the importance of integrating modern educational practices, such as self-declarative assessments, artificial intelligence, vocational education, and a renewed focus on early childhood education. Dr. Yhome concluded by stressing the vital role of teachers in shaping future generations and building a robust human resource base for the state.
In his address, MITE principal, Dr. Kate Dandesh Kumar, congratulate the graduates and acknowledging the faculty’s commitment. He highlighted the transformative power of quality education, emphasizing that it cultivates critical thinking, empathy, and a lifelong passion for learning
The ceremony commenced with an invocation by Mao Baptist Church, Kohima, pastor Robvü Khrasi, and valedictorian speech by Caroline Yepthomi.
