DIMAPUR

A joint inspection team comprising representatives from the concerned department, the contractor’s firm M/S Yanna Enterprise, the Konyak Union Naginimora Unit, five village council chairmen and village leaders of the Naginimora Division, and the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) carried out a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing Foothills Road construction project at Naginimora on August 16.
According to a press release from NFHRCC Media Cell, the joint inspection aimed to assess the progress and quality of the ongoing road works under the Foothills Road project, which is a vital connectivity initiative linking Tizit to Khelma.
During the inspection, the chairmen and leaders of the five villages under the Naginimora Division expressed appreciation for the efforts of the PWD (Roads and Bridges) and the contractor’s firm for cohesively executing the project despite various challenges. The village leaders also lauded the NFHRCC for its steadfast commitment and tireless advocacy toward the realization of the Foothills Road project since its inception in 2013.
In a show of collective support, the village leaders encouraged the NFHRCC to continue monitoring and supervising the progress of the project in collaboration with the concerned department until its successful completion. They further pledged their full support to the committee, acknowledging the noble sacrifices it has made over the years in the larger interest of regional connectivity and development.
While only 30% of the allocated work has been completed to date, the contractor’s firm, M/S Yanna Enterprise, gave a firm assurance to the inspection team that the remaining work would be completed by November 2025.
