The Sumi Chess Association Nagaland (SCAN) has announced that it will be celebrating its Chess Silver Jubilee on August 20, 2025 at Hotel Acacia Dimapur with Dr K Inazhe Phuleshe as Special in the inaugural program which will kick start at 10 a.m at the Conferences hall.
A press release by SCAN general secretary Mughato K Kiba further informed that the 12th All Sumi Chess Championship 2025 is being organized to commemorate this historic occasion.
So far 60 participants have registered their names to compete for the Championship. At least 70-80 players are expected to take part in this Celebration, the release stated.
The release also invited all the former Presidents , General Secretaries, Advisors and members of SCAN to attend the program without fail, adding that participants and invitees are requested to be present in formal dress/ Semi Formal preferably in traditional touch for the inaugural program, while all the college and school students shall compulsorily participate in their own institute uniform.
