One day workshop on research writing held at Baptist College

DIMAPUR

Baptist College (BC), Kohima, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a one-day workshop on “Techniques and Practices in Research Writing and Publication” to strengthen faculty members’ research skills and academic output.
Head of the department of history and archaeology, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, professor Jangkhomang Guite, served as the resource person for both technical sessions.
The first session focused on the fundamentals of research writing, including planning, clarity, use of evidence, referencing, and the importance of academic integrity.
The second session focused on academic publishing, journal selection, peer review, publication ethics, open-access models, and common causes of rejection, while stressing originality and credible sourcing.
The inaugural program began with an invocation by department of history, assistant professor, Tabitha, and a welcome address by IQAC, Coordinator, Dr. Sentnaro. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A, moderated by Süvilü Venuh and Dr. Visetonu Natso, and vote of thanks by IQAC, assistant coordinator, Seyieslie Vüprü.
