Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) has claimed that there were excess workers employed under Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of an event here Wednesday, DUCCF president Zasivikho Zakiesato, gave an update on the Right to Information (RTI) applications filed on the DMC, Youth Resources & Sports (YR&S) department, and Urban Development (UD) department. The RTI filed on February 24 sought transparency on various development projects and administrative matters.
Zakiesato informed that DUCCF would very soon follow up RTI applications. He said that several questions had been added, but response had not been met yet.
Citing the recent “No Pay No Work” agitation by DMC employees, the DUCCF president maintained that DMC should follow the rules in the Service Rule Book, adding that accommodations of excess employees should be streamlined.
Regarding UD department, Zasivikho stated that RTI sought details on all projects under Dimapur Municipal jurisdiction from 2019 to 2024, upcoming projects, and status of pending, completed, and abandoned works, while RTI filed in YR&S department focused on the long-pending Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex in Dimapur.
