Wokha district has achieved a significant milestone by securing 1st position at the State level and 4th position at the National level during the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) enrolment drive held from July 15 to August 15, 2025.
According to a DIPR report, the district recorded an impressive 511% achievement against the target set by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
In recognition of this outstanding performance, Secretary, Social Welfare and Mission Director, Mission Shakti, Bodeno S. Colo, along with Director, Social Welfare and Member Secretary, Mission Shakti, Tosheli Zhimomi, congratulated Wokha district and presented a certificate of appreciation.
The achievement reflects the district’s proactive efforts in implementing maternal welfare schemes and ensuring outreach to eligible beneficiaries under PMMVY.
