Governor designate AK Bhalla arrives Nagaland

DIMAPUR, AUG 23 (NPN)

Nagaland governor-designate and incumbent governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, arrived at Dimapur airport here on Saturday.
According to a DIPR report, Bhalla was received by Nagaland chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio and his ministerial colleagues.
On his arrival, the governor was honoured with Rashtriya Salute (Guard of honour) from 15th Mahila NAP (IR).
Bhalla, who has been given additional charge of governor of Nagaland following the demise of La Ganesan, would be sworn in on August 25, 2025.
Legislators who accompanied chief minister included minister RD & SIRD Metsubo Jamir; advisor urban development & municipal affairs Zhaleo Rio; advisor tribal affairs & election H. Tovihoto Ayemi; advisor food & civil supplies, legal metrology K. Tokugha Sukhalu; advisor animal husbandry & veterinary services Kazheto Kinimi; advisor minority affairs, sericulture Imkongmar.
Government officials headed by chief secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen; Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, Rupin Sharma; home commissioner, Abhijit Sinha; commissioner secretary Raj Bhavan, K. Thavaseelan; commissioner of police (CP) Dimapur, Aotula Imchen, and deputy commissioner (DC) Chumoukedima, Polan John, were also present at Dimapur Airport to receive the governor.
