Dr. Swaranjit Singh was awarded the Commendation Certificate by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh Gulab Chand Kataria, on August 15, 2025.
Dr. Singh, who has figured in the list of Top 2% Global Scientists for four consecutive years, has over 22,000 citations of his scientific work with an h-index of 67. He is president of the Microbiologists Society of India (MBSI) Arunachal Pradesh and Bodoland Territorial Region, and chairman of the “Drink Buttermilk Mission.”
Dr. Singh, did his schooling at Baptist English School and graduated from Kohima Science College, Jotsoma.
Throughout his career, Dr. Singh has held various prominent positions, including Ex-Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Head of the Environmental Biotechnology and Microbiology Branch (EBMB) in Chandigarh, and Director of the SAS Polyclinic.
