IMD forecasts heavy rainfall in NE states

DIMAPUR, AUG 30 (NPN)

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall across the North Eastern region during the coming week.
According to IMD, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to witness very heavy rainfall between August 31 and September 5.
It further stated that light to moderate rainfall is also likely at many places, accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning, over the next four days.
