School debate held at commemorate NSD

On the occasion of National Sports Day, a school level sport debate competition was conducted by CRPF 78 BN, Zubza, Kohima in collaboration with Christian Mission School.
R V Philip, Second in Command 78 Bn CRPF was chief guest on the occasion highlighted the importance of sports in life and how it helps build team spirit, leadership qualities and improve health.
He also noted that sports help face success and defeat equally.
The program was held on August 30 from 9 am to 10:30 am. The topic of debate was “Which is more important in life, Education or Sports”?
A total of 06 participants participated in the event and participants were to speak alternately for and against the motion.
Finally, each side got 2 minutes for rebuttal to state their concluding points.
The debate competition was held successfully and prizes and certificates were distributed.
The program concluded with a quick photo session and a light refreshment that was being arranged by 78 Bn CRPF
The debate competition was held with the objective of promoting love for sports among youths and creating awareness about its importance for a healthy life.
