Hohos, NFHRCC reiterate 2013 agreement

DIMAPUR, SEP 1 (NPN)

The Nagaland tribal apex Hohos and the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) have reiterated the 2013 agreement with the NNPGs not to levy any taxes in regard to the Foothills Road construction, describing it as a “Naga survival historic road”.
They further urged upon all Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs), irrespective of faction, to respect and adhere to the resolutions.
Clarification: It is clarified that the appeal letter submitted to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) on empanelling the NFHRCC to monitor the Nagaland Express Highway (Foothills Road) as a watchdog till its completion was issued directly by the 13 Nagaland apex tribal Hohos, and not a request for official recognition from the NFHRCC office.
Further, the joint four-point resolutions adopted during the consultative meeting between the Nagaland tribal apex Hohos, Dimapur-based Hohos and NFHRCC did not contain any mention regarding the release of the 2nd phase fund appeal to MoRTH.
