4th edition of New Jalukie Super League 2025 kicks off

The 4th edition of the New Jalukie Super League (NSL) 2025 commenced with a vibrant inaugural programme at the New Jalukie playground on Thursday, drawing sports enthusiasts, community leaders, and well-wishers from across the region.
The ceremony was graced by pastor of Rongmei Baptist Church Samziuram, Jiendai Gangmei, who served as the special guest. In his address, he offered prayers for the success of the tournament and officially declared the league open. He encouraged young athletes to uphold discipline, fair play, and unity through the sport of football.
Organized under the motto ‘Oneness’, the NSL continues to serve as a vital platform for nurturing grassroots football talent and fostering community spirit. NSL secretary Aphun Gonmei welcomed the gathering and briefly outlined the objectives of the league.
Club introductions were presented by NSL member Benwangbo, while the oath-taking ceremony was conducted by the NSL 4.0 technical team. The programme was anchored by Gaisinthui Kamei, also a member of NSL.
Following the formal proceedings, six football clubs took to the field for the opening day fixtures, showcasing skill, passion and competitive spirit. The matches drew large crowds, with fans turning out in strong numbers to support their teams, setting an energetic tone for the weeks ahead.
The NSL 2025 will run until September 27, featuring a series of matches among local clubs vying for the League title and NSL Championship. Organizers expressed optimism that the tournament will continue to inspire young players and contribute to the growth of football culture in the region.
