NFA’s Medolenuo Loucü attends FIFA Workshop in New Delhi

Nagaland Football Association (NFA) administrator, Medolenuo Ambrocia Loucü, has become the first female representative from the state to participate in the FIFA Capacity Building Workshop for women administrators, currently underway in New Delhi.
The three-day programme is being organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
The workshop aims to empower women in administrative roles by enhancing their technical knowledge, leadership abilities and decision-making skills, with the broader objective of creating a stronger foundation for football governance in the country.
Altogether, around 50 women administrators from across the country are attending the workshop. They include representatives from Indian Women’s League (IWL) clubs, State Associations, Sports Authority of India, team managers of the Indian women’s national teams, as well as coaches.
The comprehensive training covers multiple subjects considered critical for the growth of the game, such as leadership and communication, good governance, marketing, public relations and media management, safeguarding, club licensing, academy accreditation, and grassroots football development.
Loucü’s participation reflected not only her individual commitment but also NFA’s continuing efforts to strengthen football administration in Nagaland. Her participation at a national platform marked a milestone for Nagaland Football and highlighted the state’s growing presence in the Indian football ecosystem.
The workshop commenced on Tuesday with AIFF Deputy Secretary General, M. Satyanarayan, and FIFA experts Simon Toselli, Natcha Tarateerasarn, and Pema Tshering officially inaugurating the programme.
Current and former players and coaches including Ashalata Devi, Bembem Devi, Crispin Chettri, Joakim Alexandersson, Priya PV, Chitra Gangadharan, and AIFF Women’s Committee member, Shabana Rabbani, were also present at the inaugural session.
Organisers stated that the capacity building programme was expected to leave a lasting impact on women’s football administration in India, while officials from NFA expressed optimism that Loucü’s participation would inspire more women from Nagaland to take up leadership roles in the sport.
