As part of the special awareness program under Mission Shakti, an Art, Music & Awareness Blend programme was organized on September 4 at the Community Hall in Kuthur Village, under Sotokur Circle, featuring a painting and group song competition. The program was organised by the District Administration in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Shamator. The programme was initiated by EAC Shamator, Mekato J. Aye.
In a press release by IA Shamator, L. Shahoto Yimchunger, stated that the awareness programme focused on key issues including menstrual hygiene, Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY), and the campaign for Nasha Mukt Bharat.
Students from five schools participated in the competitions. As part of the event, sanitary pads were distributed to promote menstrual hygiene among young girls. Additionally, IEC materials were distributed to further strengthen awareness and understanding of government schemes
The event also featured the screening of various initiatives and success stories from the district, inspiring the audience with real-life examples of positive change. Enhancing the vibrancy of the programme, the womenfolk presented a cultural performance that beautifully showcased the community’s rich traditions
