The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team Phek, led by Medical Officer Dr. Avono Medoze, conducted a month-long medical screening across villages in Phek and Meluri districts during August.
The outreach covered Lozaphuhu, Losami, Phek Basa, Old Phek, Kutsapo in Phek district, and Matikhru, Lephori, and Reguri in Meluri district.
According to a press release issued by District Media Coordinator, NHM Phek, Kutolu Nakro, the programme was carried out with the objective of improving the quality of life for children through early detection and treatment of health conditions, and reducing the burden of childhood diseases by providing free health screening.
The team, comprising Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram Coordinator Kotshou Kapfo, GNM Vekupolu, and ANM Tshewekhrou, visited GPS, GMS, GHS, and Anganwadi Centres, focusing on the early identification of the “4Ds”—Defects, Diseases, Deficiencies, and Developmental delays—for children aged 0 to 18 years.
