Lotha-English dictionary app launched

DIMAPUR

In a significant step towards language preservation, the Lotha Academy, in collaboration with app developer Er. Zuthungo Kithan, launched a bilingual Lotha-English dictionary app for Android users on September 1. The app is available for free download on the Google Play Store.
Informing this through a press release, Lotha Academy president, Fr. Abraham Lotha, PhD, stated that the app was developed in response to growing demand from the Lotha community for a digital resource to assist in daily communication. The dictionary supports both Lotha-to-English and English-to-Lotha word searches.
Designed to function entirely offline, the app is optimized for speed and clarity. Key features include two-way language support, International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) integration, search history, bookmarks, user suggestions for new words, feedback options, and a help section.
The dictionary app is part of the Academy’s ongoing initiative to preserve, promote, and develop the Lotha language for future generations.
