Nagaland attends 3rd NE Civil Aviation summit in Itanagar

DIMAPUR

North East Region Ministers’ Conference on Civil Aviation and the 3rd North East Aviation Summit was held on September 4 at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
According to DIPR, the conference was inaugurated by Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, along with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu.
An official delegation from Nagaland, led by Commissioner & Secretary, Transport Department, Robert Longchari, attended the summit. The team included Myingthungo Ababe Ezung, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), A.I.R Cell, Transport Department, and Nungshilemba Walling, Deputy General Manager, Nagaland State Transport (NST).
The delegation participated in discussions with senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), and Airports Authority of India (AAI), focusing on challenges faced by the aviation sector in the region and exploring avenues to strengthen air connectivity across the Northeast.
