ABAM Youth Ministry organizes Men’s Football Olympic in Impur

DIMAPUR, SEP 6 (NPN)

ABAM Youth Ministry successfully organized the Men’s Football Olympic from September 4 to 6, 2025, at Impur. The event aimed to identify and select talented players for future initiatives, fostering skills development, discipline, and spiritual formation among the youth.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament, which saw intense competition throughout the three-day event. In the final match, Zone 4 emerged victorious, securing the title, while Zone 2 claimed the runner-up position. The tournament’s standout player, Sentimong, captain of Zone 4, was awarded the ‘Player of the Tournament’ accolade, while Medemmar from Zone 1 received the Best Goalkeeper award.
The tournament was inaugurated by Rev. Ayutemjen, President of ABAM, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Drawing inspiration from 2 Timothy 4:7, Rev. Ayutemjen emphasized that discipline and determination are the core values of true sportsmanship.
He urged all participants to engage in fair play, ensuring the tournament’s success and reflecting the principles of Christian faith in sports.
The Youth Ministry’s Olympic initiative was designed to go beyond sports, aiming to instill qualities of discipline, teamwork, and spiritual formation in the youth.
The event also highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to enhance overall skill levels and encourage balanced growth.
The tournament was narrated by Temsükaba APY (Mokokchung Compound BC) and Imtisashi APY, providing insightful commentary throughout the matches.
