In a significant boost to healthcare access for Nagaland residents, Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad, has partnered with the Nagaland Government under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), enabling eligible beneficiaries to avail free and cashless treatment across its facilities.
Announcing the partnership during a press conference held on Saturday at College Bites, Dimapur Government College, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer of Yashoda Hospitals, G. Karthihaivelan, said the hospital was committed to supporting patients from Nagaland through a range of services including travel assistance, accommodation, and personal support throughout treatment in Hyderabad.
Under CMHIS, employees and pensioners (EP category) are entitled to family coverage of up to Rs. 20 lakh annually, while general category (GC) families can avail coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakh per year. The scheme covers treatment across multiple specialties including cardiology, oncology, neurology, nephrology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and other advanced fields.
To facilitate patient care, Yashoda Hospitals has set up a dedicated help desk and plans to establish Outpatient Departments (OPDs) in Dimapur and Kohima for consultations and follow-up care. Within a month of onboarding CMHIS, the hospital has received over 200 inquiries from Nagaland, with the first patient scheduled to undergo MR-Linac cancer treatment—an advanced therapy costing around Rs. 8 lakh, now covered under the scheme.
Karthihaivelan also informed that discussions are underway with the state government to explore collaborations in skill development, internships, and medical education. The hospital aims to support medical students from Nagaland through teaching and internship opportunities across departments.
For assistance, patients may contact Parveen (+91 98864 64868) or Lohit (+91 70752 5663).
Yashoda Group of Hospitals, with over three decades of service, operates four independent hospitals in Hyderabad—Somajiguda, Secunderabad, Malakpet, and Hitech City—offering a combined capacity of 4,000 beds and comprehensive specialty care.
