After prolonged appeal to the State Government of Nagaland for establishement of administrative HQ. for the entire Namsang area it was during the leadership of Shri. S Bangjak Phom the then Hon’ble Minister from our 49th A/C who complied and visited Bura Namsang village in the year 1984. After touring the whole length and breadth of Namsang area, he took note of the genuinity of Namsang public request and himself proposed Kongshong for setting up of administrative HQ for Namsang area. From then onwards, it was through him that a memorandum along with proper and detailed sketch map was submitted to the state government. Hence, the genesis of Namsang EAC establishment at Kongshong traces back to his dynamic service and his wise action which will always be remembered with profound gratitude by us.
Consequently, Namsang EAC HQ. was created at Bura Namsang on 17th Dec 2007. And final sitting to decide for location was held on 4th January 2008 at Shri. Phuhthai’s resident, the then treasurer of village council Bura Namsang. After thorough discussion, Kongshong Bura Namsang was unanimously agreed and approved as the location for the establishment of administrative HQ of Namsang area. It is to be noted that the attendees of that crucial meeting was inclusive of all public leaders, village council members, GBs, Staff, Students and publics respectively.
In this process, all the offshooted villages and Khels/Morungs of Bura Namsang has submitted No Objection Certificate for the approved location I.e. Kongshong. Eventually, with tears of joy and gratefulness the inauguration programme of Namsang EAC was held on 28th November 2008 by the then & present Chief Minister Shri. Neiphiu Rio amidst a gathering and participation of Namsang public from all parts of Namsang area with inexpressible thanks giving to God and the leaders.
Leaders are truly chosen and anointed by God. The seed sown during the Ministership of Shri. S Bangjak was reaped through the Honb’le Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Such profound bliss and contentment is being intruded in recent times by news to shift this established Namsang EAC HQ Kongshong to elsewhere. This EAC HQ. which to us is more than administrative HQ. we accepted as a boon from God. If it is really shifted from Konghsong, an established location after being inaugurated and functioning since 2008, it will be an untold hurt of sentiments and further discord in the community. After thanksgiving and invoking God over this establishment through our distinguished leaders, after the public of Kongshong has accustomed to living with this establishment, shifting of the inaugurated location is destruction of harmonious community coexistence and definitely unacceptable.
Hence, once again keeping up our trust in God and reliance on the leaders to take wise decision and rescue us from destruction as we conclude this brief note about the establishment of Namsang EAC HQ. Kongshong establishment. May God’s just and unfailing guidance prevail over all.
