Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has issued an open letter to the advisor, School Education, expressing concern over recent developments in connection with the department’s “rationalization policy”.
In the letter, ENSF acknowledged the advisor’s commendable sense of responsibility towards the welfare of students and public, while appreciating his leadership in guiding one of the state’s most significant departments. It said the people of Nagaland had placed their trust in his competence to initiate much-needed systematic reforms in the education sector.
ENSF reminded that, as guaranteed by the Constitution, the public held the right to question and approach the government of the day for better facilities and reforms. However, the federation expressed dismay over what it described as an “unexpected and unbecoming” remark from the advisor branding the genuine demands and aspirations of a reputed organisation as “nonsense.”
While acknowledging the hurdles and challenges faced by the advisor, ENSF urged him to approach issues with sincerity and meekness befitting a political representative, and to work in the larger interest of the students’ community across Nagaland.
ENSF maintained that patience remained a hallmark of every great visionary leader and encouraged the advisor to uphold this quality in addressing public concerns.
ENSF concluded the letter by anticipating “goodness in future endeavours” from the advisor and assured its commitment towards quality education reforms in the state.
