The North East Integration Rally (NEIR) 2026, described as one of India’s most distinctive cultural journeys, will be held for the first time in January 2026. The event is being organised by KRC Foundation, an organisation with over two decades of experience in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange.
The rally will begin in Kolkata and culminate in Guwahati, traversing all eight Northeastern states. Unlike competitive rallies, NEIR is designed around the theme “Explore, Engage, and Empower”, with participants travelling by cars and motorcycles through villages, forests, tea gardens, heritage sites, and major towns.
Participants will engage in cultural nights, green drives, and community projects along the route. Organisers said the rally aims to promote regional integration, celebrate indigenous culture, encourage sustainable tourism, and involve youth in hands-on initiatives. The journey will also be documented through photography, films, and digital media. NEIR is open to youth groups, NGOs, adventure clubs, cultural organisations, professionals, influencers, and storytellers from India and abroad. Registration is mandatory, and participants are expected to uphold discipline and responsibility throughout the journey. According to KRC Foundation, the rally’s impact will extend beyond the road—supporting artisans, building friendships, raising awareness, and inspiring young ambassadors of change. The rally is not a competition but a campaign to explore Northeast India through a structured platform.
