CTPF, CTSU seize expired goods in Chessore

DIMAPUR

Chessore Town Public Forum (CTPF) and Chessore Town Students’ Union (CTSU) jointly conducted a surprise inspection of shops in Chessore town on September 8, during which expired consumer goods were seized and disposed of by burning in the presence of Dobashis (DBs) and police personnel.
According to a DIPR report, the inspection was carried out to ensure public safety and uphold consumer rights.
CTPF president, Chuba, cautioned local shopkeepers against selling expired items and illegal substances. He also appealed to the public to remain vigilant while purchasing goods.
Chessore Town Public Forum (CTPF) and Chessore Town Students’ Union (CTSU) further warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found selling banned items such as drugs, alcohol, and kutkas, in accordance with relevant legal provisions and customary laws.
