NBSE notifies form fill-up dates for HSLC & HSSLC exams 2026

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified that the dates for filling up of forms for the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2026 for Regular, Repeater and Compartmental candidates have been fixed from September 22 to October 10, 2025.
According to the notification, intending candidates are to fill up their application forms by accessing the NBSE portal at nbsenl.edu.in. Institutions and centres are required to log in to the portal, verify the forms and submit examination fees for the respective categories within the stipulated dates. Rules for filling and submission are enclosed in Annexure ‘A’ and ‘13’.
NBSE further informed that with effect from the 2026 examination, the categories of Regular Repeaters, Centre Repeaters and Compartmental candidates will be merged under a single category—“Repeater”. Candidates under this category are to fill up their forms from the school where they last studied. Heads of Centre Schools have been requested to guide such candidates accordingly. Heads of institutions have also been reminded to not conduct selection tests at Class X and XII levels to screen out academically weak students. Instead, schools are advised to provide remedial measures and special classes to help students improve their performance.
