Patton condoles Riphyim centenarian’s demise

DIMAPUR

Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton, has expressed profound grief at the demise of Rilanbomo Tungoe, a revered elder and retired teacher from Old Riphyim village, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 103 years and 4 months.
Late Tungoe, acknowledged as the oldest resident of both Old and New Riphyim villages, was regarded as a source of pride and blessing for the community. Remembering him with deep respect, Patton described the centenarian as a man of humility and wisdom who led a long and simple life devoted to service and guidance. “As a teacher, he nurtured generations with patience and care. Even after retirement, he remained a moral compass for his people,” Patton stated, noting that living beyond a century with grace and dignity is a rare gift, and that Tungoe’s life will continue to inspire younger generations. On behalf of his family, the Deputy Chief Minister extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and all those who knew and loved late Shri Rilanbomo Tungoe, and prayed for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
