Kirha FC officially launched its new team jersey on Thursday at Hotel Paramount, Chümoukedima, under the theme “Work More, Expect Less.”
Delivering the keynote address, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) vice president Vimeyiekho Vitso termed NSF martys trophy event “a festival” of unity, friendship and brotherhood. He reminded the players to remain disciplined, focused and committed, stressing that every match played should inspire confidence among supporters and leave a lasting impression.
Speaking on behalf of the club, team orator Mhashekhonu Rhetso recalled Kirha FC’s humble beginnings in 2022, describing the journey as a quiet yet determined effort to build a strong foundation. “While other clubs competed on bigger stages, we were preparing for this moment,” he said, noting that the NSF Trophy will mark the club’s official debut.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Meleto Vitsu, with an invocation prayer by Kirha Baptist Church pastor S. Anthony Thapo. Honoured guests were acknowledged by Kirha FC head coach Micheal, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Kevime Vitsu, followed by a mass prayer.
Kirha FC will feature in the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy scheduled from September 13 to October 18 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, jointly organised by NSF and Angami Students’ Union.
