Nagaland chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio on Friday reviewed preparations for the Hornbill Festival 2025 at a meeting with all line and sectoral departments at Bamboo Hall, Naga Heritage Village.
According to a DIPR report, Rio described the Hornbill Festival as the state’s “most significant annual event” and stressed the need to improve infrastructure, sanitation, beautification and visitor amenities. He called for adequate facilities such as drinking water, food and clean restrooms, while urging departments to create greater public awareness on cleanliness.
The chief minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of works by NHIDCL but directed agencies to complete all road projects before the festival. He said the quality of the event must not be compromised as it showcases the best of Nagaland.
Advisor to CM and chairman IDAN Abu Metha informed that foreign dignitaries would attend this year’s edition, while tourism minister Temjen Imna Along and other departments also shared updates.
