State-level quiz under RAA in Kohima

Samagra Shiksha Nagaland conducted the State-Level Quiz Competition under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) on September 12 at TM Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima, with participation from all 17 districts of Nagaland.
Gracing the occasion as guest of honour, Principal Director of School Education, Shashank Pratap Singh, encouraged students to embrace curiosity and innovation beyond the classroom.
He emphasized the role of science and technology in achieving the national vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047 and urged students to contribute meaningfully to the mission.
Delivering the keynote address, State Mission Director L. Jamithung Lotha
highlighted the objectives of RAA under the Ministry of Education, aimed at nurturing scientific temper and motivating students to pursue STEM fields. He congratulated the participants for advancing to the state-level competition.
Joint Mission Director Dr. Chumbeni Kikon chaired the event and provided an overview of the initiative, which targets elementary students from government schools with support from the Ministry of Education. She encouraged students to develop a lifelong passion for learning and scientific inquiry.
The programme also featured experience-sharing by Iris Zomawii Lushai and Gihukali Sema of PM SHRI GHSS Chumoukedima, who represented Nagaland in the SAKURA Science Program in Japan.
Dr. Bijano Murry served as Quiz Master, with Avino Tase and Smt. Rüchünino Ziephrü as judges. Winners of the State-Level Quiz Competition 2025: 1st Position- Imtimenla, Government High School Dilong, Mokokchung; 2nd Position- Subeno Ngullie, Government Higher Secondary School Bhandari, Wokha and 3rd Position- Kedalu Rengma, Government Higher Secondary School New Town, Tseminyu.
The event concluded with words of encouragement for students to continue striving for excellence in science and education.
