Ao Officers form unified Telongjem Senden

Kohima Ao Officers Telongjem (KAOT), Mokokchung Ao Officers Telongjem (MAOT), and Dimapur Zone Ao Officers Telongjem (DZAOT) have unanimously merged to form a single unified body—‘Ao Officers Telongjem Senden’—encompassing Ao officers from within and outside Nagaland.
The historic merger was formalised during the 1st joint conference of KAOT, MAOT, and DZAOT, hosted by Ao Senden at Mokokchung Town Hall under the theme “Ku Lima, Ku Khu” (My Country, My Duty).
Nagaland Legislative Assembly Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer graced the occasion on behalf of all Ao legislators.
Addressing the gathering, Sharingain urged officers to uphold the theme in spirit and action, serving the people with sincerity and without prejudice. He emphasized the importance of preserving traditional values of appreciation and encouragement, while also advocating for a pragmatic roadmap aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He called upon the community to maintain accurate census records in line with Church data.
Short speeches were delivered by advisor Tongpang Ozukum, Nuklutoshi Longkumer MLA, chief secretary Sentiyanger Imchen, secretary to GoI Asangla Imti, Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong, Watsu Mungdang president Tianaro Jamir, and joint secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Asangba Chuba Ao.
The theme address was delivered by Dr. Sentitula, DFO Mokokchung. A special song was presented by students of CTC, Aolijen. Dedicatory prayer by ABAM Executive Secretary Rev. Temsu Jamir, invocation by MTBA senior pastor Rev. Ponen Longchar, and benediction by ABAM Women Ministry secretary T. Arenla Longkumer. Vote of thanks was proposed by Additional Director F&CS, I. Anungba Sanglir.
