Phase-II protest: ENSF toseal govt offices, schools

DIMAPUR, Sep 14 (NP)

Stepping up its protest against the Department of School Education, the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has announced the commencement of its second phase of agitation, effective September 15, 2025.
In a press release issued from the ENSF control room at Tuensang headquarters, the Federation stated that the second phase follows an earlier agitation which sought urgent redressal of staffing shortages in government schools across Eastern Nagaland. Despite repeated appeals, ENSF alleged that the department has failed to address its legitimate demand for the retention and deployment of teachers in the affected schools.
As part of the agitation, ENSF said it will enforce the sealing of government offices, closure of government schools, and restrictions on the movement of government-registered vehicles.
However, essential services—including District Administration, Medical Police, Fire and Emergencies, Power, Paramilitary and Banking services will be exempted from the purview of the agitation.
The Federation has directed all its federating units to strictly implement the directive and coordinate with the central office to ensure uniformity in action.
