Sainik School Punglwa (SSP), Nagaland, joined the rest of the nation in celebrating Hindi Diwas 2025 with a fortnight of spirited activities held from September 1 to 15, under the national theme “Hindi: A Global Voice of Unity and Cultural Pride.”
The observance featured a range of competitions including calligraphy, dictation, poster making, quiz, conversation writing, slogan writing, street play, poetry recitation, speech, and debate. These events formed part of the annual Inter-House contest among the Junior Houses—Pauna, Shilloi, Patkai, and Melak—and Senior Houses—Tizu, Japfu, Doyang, and Saramati.
The programme aimed to deepen cadets’ engagement with the Hindi language, fostering national pride and cultural awareness. The celebrations culminated in a senior-level debate on the topic “Mobile and Social Media are the Best Medium of Social Empowerment in the Modern Age.”
Principal Col (Dr) Smita Mishra awarded certificates and trophies to the winners. Shilloi House and Doyang House emerged as champions in the Junior and Senior categories respectively.
