Kuki United Manipur FC registered a commanding 5-0 victory over Medziphema Football Academy in the 18th match of the ongoing NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at Chümoukedima Football Stadium.
The highlight of the game was Paonaldo Kuki (7), who netted a hat-trick with goals in the 6th, 26th and 76th minutes. His teammates Seivanglen Kuki (11) and Ngamjakai Kuki (66) added to the tally, scoring in the 45th and 53rd minutes respectively, sealing a comprehensive win for the Manipur side.
For his remarkable performance, Paonaldo Kuki was adjudged “Player of the Match.” The award was presented by Chumbenthung Murry, SDO (Civil) Chümoukedima, who graced the match as patron.
Meanwhile, the organising committee also acknowledged Temjenjungla Jamir, who created history in 2008 as the first woman to serve as a team manager in the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy, leading Blue Chester. The recognition came as part of the 25th Anniversary Edition of the tournament being hosted at Chümoukedima Football Stadium.
