2nd phase of Li-Ning 47th State Sub-Junior & Masters C’ship

DIMAPUR, SEP 26 (NPN)

Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) is set to organize the second phase of the Li-Ning 47th Nagaland State Sub-junior and Masters Badminton Championship from September 30 to October 3 at K Kire, IPS Indoor Stadium, Nagaland Police Complex and the Multi-Disciplinary Stadium at Sovima, Chumoukedima.
Bringing together players from all 17 districts of Nagaland, the championship will feature a wide range of age categories, from Under-9 to Masters 65+ Veterans.
This championship marks the first major tournament under the leadership of the newly elected NBA office bearers, who assumed office in August 2025. Led by president Dr. Watizulu Suzumeren, the new team has expressed its commitment to promoting badminton across all age groups in the state.
A brief opening program will precede the matches, while the closing ceremony on October 3 will be graced by Advisor for Geology and Mining, Department of Underdeveloped Areas, W Chingang Konyak.
The NBA has invited sports enthusiasts, families and community members to witness and support this celebration of athleticism and regional unity through badminton.
There are 48 categories: Under 9 years for both boys and girls; Under 11 years Singles and Doubles (Boys and Girls); Under 13 years Singles and Doubles (Boys and Girls); Under 15 years Singles and Doubles (Boys and Girls); Under 17 years Singles and Doubles (Boys and Girls); Masters 35+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women); Masters 40+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women); Masters 45+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women); Masters 50+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women); Masters 55+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women); Masters 60+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women); Masters 65+ Singles /Doubles and Mixed Doubles (Men and Women)
