SBCK Women’s Dept commemorates Pre-Centenary celebration

Women’s Department of Sumi Baptist Church Kohima (SBCK) commemorated its Pre-Centenary celebration on Sunday, September 28, at the church premises.
According to SBAK Centenary Jubilee Media Cell, Rev. Dr. Hokheto Chophi, Lead Pastor of Thilixu Village Baptist Church and former Pastor of SBCK, delivered the Jubilee message as guest speaker. He spoke on the biblical significance of Jubilee as a time of retrospection, testimony and thanksgiving, drawing from the story of the widow of Zarephath to highlight themes of spiritual healing, humility and personal salvation through Jesus Christ.
Rev. Dr. Chophi emphasised that true blessings come from a relationship with God, not material wealth, and urged the congregation to embrace the essence of Jubilee by releasing themselves from sin and accepting eternal life. He further encouraged the SBCK community to uphold Christian values and continue serving as ambassadors of peace and reconciliation as they prepare for the Centenary Jubilee.
Greeting messages were delivered by K. Nihoto Chishi, former chairman of the Board of Deacons, and Kheholi N. Shohe, first vice chairperson of the Women’s Department. The devotional service was chaired by Kuholi Chishi, associate pastor of Women’s Ministry, while the evening sermon was shared by Lhosheli V. Chishi, former associate pastor of Women’s Ministry.
The programme was organised under the aegis of SBAK Centenary Jubilee Media Cell.
