NJCF clarifies stand on ‘satanic worship’ issue

DIMAPUR, SEP 30 (NPN)

Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) has reacted to “certain media outlets” misrepresenting its position on the ban of satanic worship in Nagaland and wrongly suggesting that NJCF was opposed to such a ban.
In a clarification, NJCF president Rev. Dr. N. Paphino and secretary Rev. Moses Murry said “This is completely inaccurate. NJCF firmly clarifies that it supports the ban, and regrets any misinterpretation that may have arisen.”
The forum said it had consistently supported the prohibition of satanic and unbiblical practices. NJCF said it had called for decisively banning those activities without unnecessary debate or publicity so they did not gain attention or legitimacy.
The forum termed as “unfortunate” that such misrepresentation has spread across different platforms, creating confusion among the public and reflecting negatively on the image of Nagaland. NJCF affirmed that it fully supported the ban and firmly condemned satanic worship and all other unbiblical practices.
Further, NJCF has appealed to the state government to issue an order to ban satanic worship and satanic activities immediately in Nagaland.
The forum also called upon media houses and the public to verify facts before reporting, and to avoid circulating information that distorted the intentions of organizations working for the welfare and moral standards of society.
