NSF: Wins for Chedema VYO, Mez & Co

Football fans at I.G. Stadium, Kohima, were treated to a display of sheer dominance on Thursday as both Chedema Village Youth Organisation (CVYO) and Mez & Co stormed to emphatic wins in their respective fixtures of the tournament.
The match no 24 between CVYO and United Brothers Club quickly tilted in Chedema’s favour. Striker Benjamin (14) struck twice before halftime (20’, 44’), with Lenboilun (12) also getting on the scoresheet (30’). Lunmincian (10) dazzled with a clinical hat-trick (42’, 65’, 73’), while Menuophretuo (9) added the final blow deep in stoppage time (90+2). United Brothers’ consolation came from Thejavizo Peseyie (7) in the 60th minute.
Benjamin’s sharp finishing earned him the Player of the Match title, presented by Kezevituo Chakrünuo, Secretary (Property), Angami Public Organisation (APO).
In match no 25, Mez & Co ran riot against Nurturing Youngsters, securing a 9-0 win. The hero of the match, Bijoy Moktan (30), delivered a stunning four-goal performance (23’, 25’, 35’, 69’). Goals from Tangua Ragui (6), L. Thangkholen Khongsi (3), Noulevituo Pienyii (9), and Yitachu Thupetor (28) compounded the misery, alongside an own goal in the 89th minute.
For his commanding performance, Moktan was honoured as Player of the Match, with the award handed over by Alezo Rino, former treasurer of the Angami Students’ Union (ASU).

ALT thrash JYO 6-1
In the last match at Chümoukedima Football Stadium, Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) registered a commanding 6-1 victory over Jakhama Youth Organisation (JYO).
ALT striker Thumsol (7) was the star of the match, netting a hat-trick with goals in the 11th, 45+5th, and 71st minutes. His teammate Changkingum (9) added a brace, scoring in the 16th and 19th minutes, while Winkle (11) contributed with a goal in the 34th minute. Jakhama Youth Organisation’s lone goal came through Kunuzo Venyo (11) in the 45+4th minute.
Kagaly (30) of Anal Lenruwl Tangpi was adjudged Player of the Match and the award was presented by the match patron.
The match patron was Kikrukhrietuo Yhoshü, president, Chümoukedima District Sports Shooting Association.
